TNA: One Last Stand
I was hoping to write a bigger article about the TNA: ECW Themed PPV, because I am getting bombarded with questions, but I've got a very busy schedule for the next week, so I'll just address this here and now.
I was asked if I would be interested in taking part in the TNA: One Last Stand PPV. I think it was big of them to extend me the offer, considering my general opinion of the TNA product, and want to I thank them for that, but I will not be taking part.
I feel it would be hypocritical of me to work the show, considering my out outspoken views of the TNA product. I have a great deal of respect for the boys who will be working the show as well as the great workers on the TNA roster, but I have no desire to be a part of the TNA creative process. As for ECW, One Night Stand in 2005 was my farewell and am content in letting sleeping dogs lie.

RIP: Gene Kiniski
I want to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Gene Kiniski who passed away earlier today (April 14th) at the age of 81. I did not know Mr. Kiniski well but was fortunate enough to have met the man and get to work with him on one occasion. I've talked to a few people today and there is a chance that the match I had with Gene (a 6 Man Tag) was his last match.
In February of 1992 Chris Jericho and I teamed with Gene Kiniski to face Bob Brown, Gerry Morrow, and Don Callis. Gene worked a couple matches that night so I'm not positive ours was his last but that is the general belief. I wrote about the match in a commentary (Nov. 21, 2000) which I've re-posted. You can click on the link below to check it out.

Chris Kanyon: 1970 - 2010
It is with great sadness that I offer my condolences to the friends and family of Chris Kanyon, who passed way over the Easter weekend. I wasn't close to Chris but I did have the pleasure of knowing him and getting to work with him in both WCW and WWE. I believe we only had one match against each other but we did tag on a couple occasions and he was always a lot of fun to be in the ring with.
Due to the fact that I did not know Chris well, I won't be doing an in depth Tribute style commentary, but I did want to mention his passing and offer my condolences, he will be missed.

RF Video Shoot Interview
I've been meaning to plug this for a while. RF Video has a new Lance Storm shoot interview out which picks up from where the last one left off. My first shoot covered up to almost the end of ECW, so this one covers a bit of ECW and everything after that.
I haven't had a chance to watch it back yet, but I remember it being a great interview where I tell a ton of stories many of which I've never told before. It's a 2 disc interview and can be purchased through the link below.

RIP "Dr. Death" Steve Williams
I want to offer my condolences to the family and friends of “Dr. Death” Steve Williams who passed away last night at the age of 49. I did not know Dr. Death well but was fortunate enough to have met the man and get to work with him on two occasions. I wrote about the matches we had together, in a commentary (July 15, 2008) and I think that commentary sums up my thoughts on Steve Williams as well as anything I could write here. Jim Cornette Apologizes
I just read an amazing commentary written by Jim Cornette, and I want to plug it here to make sure as many people read it as possible. The commentary is available at JimCornette.com and is in my opinion a absolute must read.
I was very fortunate during my career to work with Mr. James E. Cornette, first in SMW back in 1994 and again in OVW in 2005. Cornette is a very polarizing figure in this business and there are those who would say that he is a "loud mouth, opinionated, hothead", and others who would be more apt to call him an "outspoken genius". I've gotten to know the man over the years, and I thinks it fair say he is both. The thing his critics overlook is that while JC is very much an opinionated hothead, once you get past him calling you a "Mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, bumble fuck" he's usually right!
Go check out his new commentary please. No one loves the sport of Pro-Wrestling more than Jim Cornette and in this commentary he makes a very uncharacteristic apology to fans, and offers to make a contract with them for the future.

D.H. (Harry) Smith visits SWA: Nov. 2007
I was very fortunate to have Harry Smith stop by SWA for a visit. Harry took part in a few of my regular training sessions in order to get some extra ring time. This afforded my current students a great opportunity to work with Harry and learn from him. Harry has a great work ethic and attitude and is always welcome at Storm Wrestling Academy. Harry has a ton of talent and my studetns can't thank him enough for his willingness to work with them .

I've Been Added to WWE Alumni Section
I was quite happy to discover that WWE has added me to the Alumni section of their website. They've posted career highlights, a bio, and photos. They also plugged Storm Wrestling Academy, which I thought was very nice. They did make one slight error though. When they list my Title history they mention that I held the ECW Tag Team titles 3 times, the WWE Tag Team Titles 4 times, but only state 1 WCW US Title run when I actually held that title 3 times. You can check out WWE's Alumni Section by clicking on the link below.
Thanks,
Lance
